Story of a Kabul born man living in America, who goes back to Afghanistan to bring home his best friend's son.
I thought this movie was beautiful. I haven't yet read the book so I don't know how it compares, but due to this movie I'm no longer reserving "A" ratings for movies I'm going to buy. (although I might buy this one so I can lend it out) The actors are exceptional and the story is very moving. There are some hard scenes in it so even though there are children in it - it may not be appropriate. Lots of subtitles. I would have picked this as a Best Picture contender. It did get nominated for Best Score.

I've actually read the book (before I saw the movie).
The movie was really good, but....like most books adapted into movies....the movie didn't quite live up to the expectations I had from reading it first.
