Mr. Magorium has run the magic toy emporium for over 100 years. Now it is time for him to depart and the store is upset.
I wanted to see this in the theater but ran out of weekends so when it came out this week on DVD I went ahead and purchased it. Not really what I expected. It can't decide whether it wants to focus on the emporium being upset that it is losing its owner, the life struggle of the store manager or the life struggle of the accountant. So it focuses a little on each but not enough on one. The best story is the one focusing on Mr. Magorium and the store - his departure is the sweetest death scene I've ever seen. The effects are good. I'm glad I bought it and am loaning it to my friends with kids.
