Story of a boy, Evan Taylor/August Rush, who has lived in a group home his entire life. Believing that music will pull them together, he searches for his parents.
I liked this and thought it was lame at the same time. The premise of it (the whole "music will bring us together" thing) was emphasized to the point of silly and Freddie Highmore did the best with what he was given but came off a little creepy. It had the typical happy ending but was slightly painful getting there. There were some outstanding moments but overall just okay. If you see it on cable, you may want to sit through it. or not.
