Soon-to-be Princess Giselle gets sent away from magical Andalasia to mean old Manhattan on the day of her wedding to Prince Edward by her evil-stepmother-in-law-to-be, Queen Narcissa. Havoc ensues when the fairy tale world collides with the real world.
This idea of the two worlds coming together is so obvious that I can't believe Disney hasn't done this before. Although - if they had done it before, it wouldn't have starred Amy Adams who is incredibly perfect for this role. The entire cast is fantastic and the movie is, well, enchanting...
