Grade: D
Premise: The Baudelaire orphans get passed around from distant relative to distant relative only to have Count Olaf kill off those relatives to gain them and their fortune.
Recommend?: The good of this movie were the actors that played the children. They were QUITE good. The bad of this movie was most everything else. They did a good job of scripting the book for film but it just doesn't play well on film. The first 45 minutes or so are incredibly boring. I'm glad I saw it but I don't need to own it or see it again. Meryl Streep was quite good as well although she was only in it for a short time. I think even kids would be bored. Pass on it.

Wow, we are in the middle of watching this movie and we absolutely love it! I'm already considering it a "buy" movie. None of us read the books, so maybe that helps.
