The Notebook

Grade: C

Premise: An old man reads to an old woman a love story from a notebook.

Well it took me all of 5 minutes to figure out that the "love story" from the notebook was the real life love story of the old people. The old woman has dementia and can't remember anything so the old man reads to her about their life together. The parts with James Garner and Gena Rowlands are good but unfortunately, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as their young counterparts just didn't do it for me. Movie could have been way better with a slightly different cast. Also the end was a little too much...although my mother cried through it...so it's maybe better for the 50+ ers to watch.
