Cold Mountain

Premise: A shy girl and a country boy fall in love 5 minutes before he leaves for the civil war.

This movie is beautifully shot and is a great story but in order to get the pay off at the end - you needed to be emotionally invested in the two main characters. I didn't get any kind of feeling for them and didn't really care what happened at the end. Renee Zellweger was great as were the guys who played her father and the musicians. Just about everyone in Hollywood has cameos.
